Tooth Fractured Below Edge of Bone

1.5 has fractured lingual cusp that extends subgingivally and under the
margin of alveolar bone. Gingivoplasty and some osteoplasty were done
to expose fracture margin to facilitate restoration. Then this photo (above)
was made. Then PerioGlas was mixed with patient’s blood and placed
interproximally at 1.5 mesial and distal. This was covered with a thin
layer of Spongostan (absorbable gelatin sponge), and then Coe-Pak dressing.

| Coe-Pak covers lingual and occlusal surfaces after periodontal
surgery. Blue-block-out resin is placed to apply ozone interproximally from
buccal access, at mesial and distal of 1.5 (40 seconds each). 5 days later,
Jan.17, Coe-Pak came off and I retreated the surgical site with ozone for
80 seconds. 2 days later, Jan 19, site was becoming very comfortable and
the following post-operative photo was made. |
