Before treatment, note the small, recessed
lateral incisors. Also note the central incisor thickness.
Subsequent to this photo, I did reduce slightly the enamel
thickness so that the subsequent Lumineers would not be
too prominent. The reduction was painless. No temporary
restorations were needed. (See photo 7.) |

Lumineers are seated with water, at try-in.
Note the unsatisfactory slant of the incisal edges, lower
on patient’s left side. This will be corrected after
the Lumineers are bonded to the teeth. |

Before treatment. Note the
unsatisfactory slant of central incisors with white patches
in enamel. Note the significant wear of incisal edges
of 4 cuspids, caused by bruxism. The bruxism will be reduced
by wearing a bite-guard appliance during sleep. |

Tooth 1.3 (upper right cuspid) received
direct-bonded composite resin at incisal edge.
Teeth 4.3 & 3.3 (lower cuspids) had their sharp incisal
edges smoothed and contoured slightly.
Teeth 1.1 & 2.1 (upper central incisors) had labial
enamel thickness reduced slightly.
All 4 upper incisors were adjusted slightly to identify
margin placement for Lumineers.
Teeth are now ready for impressions to be made.
After this appointment, and before Lumineers were bonded,
patient used Crest Whitestrips Supreme at home to get
some colour improvement. |
